The narrows (nÄrr'Åoz): A part of little width, as a pass through mountains.

The Narrows is simply a place where a group of us guys have banded together. We aren’t just any guys.  All of us have dreams to accomplish.  All of us have been stung more than once by failure and fortune.  We all feel similar pressure.

Maybe it is crying kiddos or a nagging boss.  Maybe it is the pressure brought on by hidden hang ups or by dreams we are chasing or businesses we have built. The Narrows speaks to us guys who are being productive, making a difference or want to make a difference and are feeling every ounce of life hemming us in.

In the Narrows we find that we are on an adventure and that we aren’t doing it alone.  As traveling companions we are willing to go into the darkest of narrows together and do it on purpose. We know we are at war.  We feel it every morning.  It seems we battle life.  Through the word of God we realize that there is a spiritual battle being fought over our souls and we have a blood thirst to get involved.

 The Narrows is fiercely committed to the following: 

It is a fact that our culture does not know what to do with us guys.  At every turn we are challenged to be passive, quiet and impotent.  Most of us have been wounded by the various stuff that tempt us.  We indulge and walk away lesser men.  For a host of reasons it is no longer “in” to be a man.  In fact a man that knows who he is has become somehow terrifying and threatening to those around him.  This is a major dichotomy because very few people respect a milk toast cowering guy who has no direction.

If you choose to walk through the fire with us at The Narrows, it will probably cause you pain.  As men in battle together we hand off to one another strength and courage. Sharing pain has an interesting way of doing this on its own.  If you have felt visionless, powerless and forced into the passive quiet desperation that our culture forces on you, I invite you to come and band together with us.  Simply put, we will help you draw closer to your maker and introduce you to yourself.
